Drop-in workshop making delicate bound textile and brass hangings for a suspended installation over festival - ISHRAQAH at New Arts Exchange Gallery in Nottingham. This event marked one year from the Tunisian protests that sparked revolutionary wave that swept the Middle East. ISHRAQAH (meaning sunrise, or beginning of a new era, explores Arab and Middle Eastern cultures through a programme of Hiwar (meaning dialogue) and Fonoon (arts) events. The programme included film, debate, discussion, music, craft, dance and food.
